Choose how email reaches TicketOS
TicketOS can receive customer email through forwarding or through your domain’s MX records. Your customers keep using the same public email address either way.
Forward to TicketOS
Choose forwarding when the address already has a mailbox, or when other addresses on the domain must continue working with your current email provider.
You keep the existing mailbox. New messages sent to the customer-service address are forwarded to a unique TicketOS address.
Forwarding is the recommended choice for most businesses.
Use your domain’s MX
Choose MX only when TicketOS should receive all email for the domain or subdomain you enter.
Do not replace the MX records on your main domain if other addresses on that domain still need to receive email through your current provider. Use forwarding instead, or use a dedicated subdomain that has no other mailboxes.
Quick decision
- Choose Forward to TicketOS if you are unsure.
- Choose Your domain’s MX only for a dedicated domain or subdomain that TicketOS can control completely.
