TicketOS Handbook

You do not need to set up everything at once. Start with the address your customers already use. TicketOS is ready for daily work when it can receive a test and deliver your reply.

1. Connect the inbox

Add your customer-service address and the name customers should see.

Connect your first inbox

2. Choose how email reaches TicketOS

Use forwarding for most existing mailboxes. Use MX only for a dedicated domain or subdomain that TicketOS can control completely.

Compare forwarding and MX

3. Test receiving and verify the domain

If you use forwarding, test incoming email first. Then add the DNS records that let TicketOS reply from your address.

If you use MX, verify the domain first. Incoming email starts after the DNS setup is ready.

4. Deliver the first reply

Reply to the test ticket. The setup is confirmed when the message shows as delivered.

Send and deliver your first reply

5. Invite a colleague

Add a colleague, choose their access and transfer the test ticket to them.

Invite your first colleague

That is enough to start. Add groups, templates, SLA, workflows and AssistOS when your team needs them.
