Receive email with your domain’s MX records
MX records tell the internet which service receives email for a domain. Use this method only when TicketOS should receive all email for the domain or subdomain you enter.
Check before you continue
Do not change the MX records on your main domain if other addresses on that domain still use your current email provider. Those mailboxes may stop receiving email.
If the domain has other active mailboxes, choose forwarding instead. You can also use a dedicated subdomain that is not used for anything else.
Add the records
- Open the inbox under Settings > Integrations in TicketOS.
- Copy the exact DNS records shown for the inbox.
- Sign in to the provider that manages DNS for the domain.
- Add the verification record and the records used for sending.
- Add the MX record shown in TicketOS with priority
10. - Remove other MX records on the exact same domain or subdomain.
- Return to TicketOS and select Check again.
TicketOS starts receiving email when the domain is verified. DNS changes may take a few hours to become visible everywhere.
Confirm that it works
Send a new email from another address to the inbox address. The message should appear as a ticket in TicketOS.
