Connect your first inbox

An inbox connects the address your customers already use, such as support@example.com, to TicketOS.

Open the inbox setup

After signup, select Connect your first inbox on the welcome page.

If you skipped the welcome page:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Integrations.
  3. Find Support email.
  4. Select Set up or New inbox.

Add the inbox

  1. Enter the email address your customers use.
  2. Enter the name customers should see on replies.
  3. Choose a short inbox name for TicketOS.
  4. Choose how email reaches TicketOS.
  5. Select Save and continue.

TicketOS offers two receiving methods:

  • Forward to TicketOS keeps your current mailbox and forwards new messages to TicketOS. This is the recommended choice for most businesses.
  • Your domain’s MX sends all email for a dedicated domain or subdomain to TicketOS.

What happens next

If you chose forwarding, TicketOS shows the unique address that your current mailbox must forward to. You can test incoming email before the sending domain is verified.

If you chose MX, add the DNS records first. Incoming email starts when the domain is verified.

In both cases, the sending domain must be verified before TicketOS can reply from your address.
