Forward email to TicketOS

Forwarding lets you keep the mailbox you already use. New messages sent to your customer-service address are forwarded to TicketOS and become tickets.

Before you start

Open the inbox in TicketOS and copy its unique forwarding address. It ends with @in.ticketos.one.

Set up forwarding

  1. Sign in to the email provider that manages your customer-service mailbox.
  2. Open the forwarding settings for that mailbox.
  3. Add the unique TicketOS forwarding address.
  4. Keep a copy in the original mailbox while you test the setup.
  5. Complete any confirmation required by your email provider.
  6. Send a new test email from another address.

Some providers send a confirmation email to the TicketOS forwarding address. It appears as a ticket in TicketOS. Open it and follow the provider’s confirmation instructions before sending the normal test.

Use the right kind of forwarding

Use automatic server-side forwarding. Do not create a manual routine where a person forwards each message.

If your provider offers both forward and redirect, choose the option that preserves the original sender when possible. This helps TicketOS connect the ticket to the right customer.

Continue the setup

When the test ticket appears, receiving works. You must still verify your sending domain before replying from your own address.
